The Problem - Garden at Christian Head Care Home requires maintenance

Christian Head is a local care home for people with dementia and people who need care. As part of local community projects, Upper Eden Rotary Club members offered to help maintain the gardens and area around the building. It is an ongoing project where club members work with the care home management in agreeing what needs to be done to help maintain and improve the area. This includes the patio area where residents can sit outside when the weather allows.

August 2021. Table and Chairs Refurbishment.

The upkeep of the gardens at Christian Head also includes refurbishing the benches in the garden. An example of this is shown in the before and after pictures below of a table and semi circular seats. The excellent work was carried out by Upper Eden Rotarian Brian Jacobs who took them away to sand down and apply the finishing touch. Work is also progressing on other benches. The manager Anne Priestley said "Thank you, it has been a total transformation, looks brilliant, we can’t thank you all enough".

April 2021. Garden Maintenance.

Members of UERC get stuck into border maintenance at Christian Head.

March 2021. Project commenced.
